Kaitlyn Read, MS
Product Development Scientist
Kaitlyn Read is an accomplished scientific researcher with broad experience in lab and field techniques across several disciplines, working as a field scientist in caves and mines, an environmental chemist, a graduate researcher, and an R&D research scientist. Kaitlyn is currently a graduate research assistant at the University of New Mexico School of Engineering, pursuing a PhD in nanoscience and microsystems engineering, where she’s part of an interdisciplinary team leveraging existing technologies for rapid solutions to design and conduct research on plant hydration. Prior to joining Covira, Kaitlyn was a research scientist at Bright Path Laboratories, where she applied flow chemistry to manufacture medicines. Before Bright Path, Kaitlyn was a semi-volatile chemical analyst Hall Environmental Analytical Lab.
Kaitlyn holds a B.S. in biology and M.S. in nanoscience and microsystems engineering from the University of New Mexico and anticipates defending her dissertation in June of 2023.
